And we got tired of car rental feeling like a trap. So we built the kind of place we'd want to rent from ourselves.
How we started
Apex started in 2019 with three cars parked behind a coffee place near Centraal. A couple of friends needed a van for a weekend, couldn't find a fair price anywhere, and figured other people probably felt the same. Fast forward a few years and we've grown into a proper fleet — but we've kept the same rule we started with: tell people the real price, keep the cars in great shape, and be the sort of company you'd actually recommend to a mate.
Honest pricing
The number you see when you book is the number you pay. We don't do mystery admin fees or surprise add-ons at the desk.
Cars we'd drive
Every car gets cleaned, checked and fuelled before it goes out. If we wouldn't put our own family in it, it doesn't leave the lot.
Real humans
When you call, a person in Amsterdam picks up. No phone trees, no scripts, no "your call is important to us" for twenty minutes.
